Profile

Full-stack engineer with nine years building products people use every day. Right now I work on a platform that solar, roofing and HVAC contractors use to design a system for a real roof and sell it to the homeowner. I built its design tool, took its HVAC business line from nothing to launch, and opened the platform up to serve several brands at once. I also own how it ships: the release pipelines, the environments, and the monitoring that tells us something is wrong before a customer does. Before that I built subscription billing at Rebillia, and spent two years on Italian public-sector applications where I was usually the one holding them up. I like taking a feature from the database to the screen, and leaving it in a state the next person can pick up.

Experience

Sunalys / BuildOn HQ 10/2024 - Present

Work on a platform that solar, roofing, battery and HVAC contractors use to design a system, price it and put a proposal in front of a homeowner. Built the design tool that lets a salesperson lay panels out on aerial imagery of the customer's actual roof and see what it will produce. Took the HVAC business line from an empty folder to a shipped product, across both the app and the API. Opened the platform up to serve several brands from one deployment. Moved the heavy solar calculations onto a queue so the app stays responsive while they run, and added the monitoring and operator screens the team uses to see what the platform is doing. Own the way it ships: the production, QA and demo pipelines, one-click rollback, and the environment configuration behind them. Review most of what the rest of the team merges.

Rebillia 03/2023 - 10/2024

Built the platform that adds subscriptions and recurring billing to BigCommerce and Shopify stores, carrying 720K subscribable products. Implemented the payment layer across Stripe, PayPal, Square and Authorize.net, storing payment intents so renewals charge cleanly without the customer being there. Built the merchant dashboard as a modular Angular application, and a reusable component library that cut the time to build each new screen. Wrote the storefront extension that changes checkout inside the merchant's own shop. Covered the platform with unit and functional tests.

Digit Sapiens 10/2020 - Present

Set the technical direction and build the delivery teams for client work, and take contracts myself. Converted a product monorepo into microfrontends so teams ship in parallel without waiting on one release, and published a private Angular library that gives every new project the same foundation on day one. Led CI/CD on GitHub Actions and Jenkins, then added SonarQube, lint rules and pre-commit checks so quality is enforced before review. Built per-ticket preview deployments, giving testers an isolated version of the application for every change. Solved server-side rendering and indexing for single-page applications, lifting SEO performance by 70%. Shipped an iOS and Android application past 15K downloads. Delivered the Almaviva and Sokrates engagements below under this company.

Almaviva 05/2021 - 04/2023

Two years of Angular on Italian public-sector systems. Started on the supplier portal for the national e-procurement marketplace, where companies register, apply for admission and bid on tenders: a 33-person Accenture-led team in which I was the only Almaviva engineer for the first year, and everything to do with company records was mine. Moved to a signed-document workflow for public administration — assemble from a template, review, digitally sign, acknowledge — joining shortly after it started and running it single-handed from September 2022 until it shipped. Then built its sister application for a second procedure on the same foundation.

Datalytics 03/2020 - 10/2020

Built sales optimisation software in React and .NET Core that recommends the strongest plans for merchants expanding their business. Delivered the reporting used by Bulgari and Brooks Brothers to tighten their day-to-day process. Integrated AG Grid so users could sort, group and act on large resource tables directly. Owned page performance against a fixed delivery date, and helped shape the team's planning.

Division5 09/2017 - 03/2020

Joined a small web consultancy as a developer and was promoted to head of development after two years. Led small delivery teams and wrote the specifications outsourced work was built against. Planned, developed, tested, deployed and maintained web applications in Angular, Express and PHP. Added Elasticsearch and Redis to make search across the system fast. Built an augmented reality feature with ARCore, and hybrid applications with Ionic for phones and tablets and Electron for the desktop.

Selected work

Patenta AL+

Albanian driving-licence app on Android: learn the theory, find a driving school on the map, track fines and follow your progress. Ionic and Capacitor on the phone, a NestJS API and an Angular admin console behind it. Nobody publishes the official questions as data, so the backend reads them straight out of the source PDF and flags any page that needs a second pass.

Sokrates R3

School administration used across Austria — students, grades, reports. I worked on the Angular front end, which pulls together five separate GraphQL services into one application over a .NET core with Keycloak sign-in.

Bookmark Vault

Offline encrypted vault for bookmarks, logins and SSH hosts, built in Angular and Electron with the usual trust model turned around: the window you type into holds the key and does the encryption itself, so the part of the app that touches your disk never sees anything readable. Optional sync server that stores your data without being able to read it.

Rivub

Solar design tool built to try the shading calculation the other way round: place the panels in a 3D scene, then trace the sun across all 8,760 hours of the year to see what each one really gets. Multi-tenant NestJS API, Angular site, and the calculation split across small services.

Asyncways

Company site and content manager for a software studio, in Angular with server-side rendering over a NestJS API — so the marketing pages are fast and indexable while the team edits them through an admin area.

Atlas

A personal index of every project I have worked on, and the reader for the architecture documents behind each one. Written with no dependencies at all: the database, the server and the build step are all things Node already ships with.

Node Resume

The tool this CV is built with. A JSON file in, a browser workspace and a print-ready PDF out, with thirteen designs to switch between, an optional database and an editor behind a login. Adding a new field to every CV is a one-line change.

Iksdy

Multi-tenant vehicle marketplace where two shop addresses are two tenants of a single deployment. Its neatest piece is a small proxy that recognises search-engine crawlers and serves them a pre-rendered page while everyone else gets the fast app.
